Community:  Nestled in the northern edge of the Flathead Valley and surrounded on three sides by picturesque mountain peaks that include the Whitefish Mountain Ski and   Summer Resort just outside of town, Whitefish is one of the most scenic, breathtaking areas in America which stretches 60 square miles and features numerous lakes, wild and scenic rivers and adjacent peaks of Glacier National Park. The refurbished Great Northern Railroad Depot, along with the western-style covered walkways, is the focal point of the downtown area.
